The Regulation Safety Seagoing Vessels has been amended and updated with regard to certain technical requirements for ships, in particular with regard to fire safety regulations and the rectification of a single omission. Furthermore, a few items have been updated in order to take account of international developments. For example, it includes a reference to a new set of International Maritime Organisation (IMO) Directives on dredgers (DR68) and to a new (revised) Code for large commercial yachts (LY3 Code). The amendments has taken effect on 1 January 2018.
